I've seen some people discuss these little bikes on here before. It seems like every motor-head that I know has owned or ridden one of these at some point in their life.

The guy who owns this one is a friend of a friend. I saw the bike last Saturday for the first time, it is as perfect as it looks in the pictures. It sounds like a one cylinder Harley too. Some of the work on it is incredilble, like the intake manifold, and custom stainless exhaust that looks stock, but is much larger. The builder is a metal fab guy, and it shows.

Its the perfect gift for someone who has everything already :) I would buy it myself if I had the cash laying around.

It reminds me of Littlesteve's first trailbike in the mid '70s. I think it was a Cibi or somethink like that. He let a neighborhood kid drive it and he lost control. He drove it right into a telephone pole. The paint got scratched on the tank so we took it off and repainted it blue with a kit that had 3 paints in it. One was the base coat of silver, next was metalic blue and third was clear. It came out looking good for a couple of teens with spraycans.

That cibi was dam expensive at $375 in 1974 :D

I do know a guy with many of these Honda mini trail bikes up here in NH.
I have worked on him trying to let me sell a few on Ebay.

They worst thing about people in NH is they keep everything :(
never wanting to part with it..

Warren,

I'd love too but my butt would break it, and my wife has said I can't let any of our future children ride a motorcycle because according to her, "my parents were crazy fo letting me have one at the age of 5!"

That was a funny story. My dad bought it for me and had me riding it good around the house. Then my mom came home and he showed her the bike. She wasn't very happy, but my dad convinced her to watch me ride it once to prove that I can do it. I proceeded to jump on the bike, go full throttle, hit and bounce off the car, and flip over a flower barrel in the lawn while a car driving by came to a screaching halt trying to avoid the runaway bike!

LOL! :D

I still have a couple of trail bikes in storage. One is a late 70's Trail 90 with the 4 speed clutchless trans and the transfer case. It's pretty fun dropping that thing in low range and banging through the gears. The other is a '73 CT70H. It's basically a Mini Trail bike with a 70cc motor and a 4 speed trans with clutch. It can hit a whopping 40mph. I got it when I was about 13. It is fun as hell and I plan to get it running again once I get my new house built and have a place to put it.

James,
I did the same thing with my go cart as a kid. Day my dad brought it home he told me to go for a ride. I took off up my street (small subdivision) full throttle. Decided to turn around, turned left and RIGHT into the front right wheel of a passing car. Luckily the car wasn't going real fast. No harm no foul but coulda been much worse..
I later flipped said go kart, knocked myself out and had to go to the hospital for stitches..

:D

Warren,

LOL! Only now can I truly understand the anguish I put my parents through when I was a kid. ;)
