Hello all.

I have a 1993 Chevy Lumina APV (3.8 V6). I changed the EGR today but it seems to be leaking air at the bottom (by the new gasket). I was going to get some high temp silicone tomorrow.
Should I re-use the (new) gasket and put silicone on either side?? Just one side?? Just high temp silicone??

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks in advance,

Ravi

don't know about the silicone, but the EGRs tend to be a nuisance on TBI motors. Take it off, and start the engine then blow the carbon chunks out of the intake a little. If you have too much problem they probably make a screened gasket for the EGR, I know a lot of people that use em when they have carbon problems with the EGR as they're prone to.
