Chime In

Last night turned on the headlights and the door chime started up. Will stop if headlights are turned off. Also if I turn the dimmer switch for the dash lights off the chiming stops. Any ideas on how to fix this small problem? Thanks in advance.

There's a switch in the door that controls that chime stuff if the door is open. Your switch or the wiring to it is probably fubar.

The door was closed when the chiming started. It is like the reminder your headlights are left on when you kill the car, only the car is running. Any ideas on a way to fix this.

yeah the door is closed but the switch isn't closing. make sense now? the switch is broken. that's why it chimes when your headlights are on. it's about all I can think of it being.

Well when the key is in and the door is open it will chime, when the door is closed it no longer chimes. Therefore the switch you are talking about is working as it should. Does this make sense. It is only when the headlights are turned on is there any problem.

Change out the CHIME MODULE part #25524794 Lists for $77 you should be able to get it cheaper.
