I purchased an '87 one owner Gn with 27k miles the other day. When I was looking over the car I noticed it had a cutout, some gauges and this chip in the center console. The car doesn't have an adjustable waste gate, scan master or even a boost gauge.

Can you help me identify this thing?

Before someone asks, no, I can't talk to the original owner.

Thanks in advance.

high octane race chip, made by ATR (out of business now). Pretty low tech considering whats available today. I had driveability issues with their later versions (Like that one)

I agree with Bob. Back in 2002, a friend of mine gave me that ATR chip since it made his car run like crap. After I "looked inside" at the numbers, I refused to put it in my car. Too much advance, too much fuel, and way too much boost. The classic old school hot rodding approach - crank up the timing, dump in gobs of fuel, and push the boost to a point where you have to use 116 octane race gas.
