chip question - update ???

I have a thumbwheel ultrachip v3.02 bt 36lb was installed back in 2002
no other changes have been made since then
is there any reason to have this updated if possible or do i leave it as is
or do i get another chip will this make a difference

The newer chips have some features that you wont have with the ultra. Besides that you may not see any performance gains. How does it run?

seems to run ok - the chip has been in since 2002 so it is probably ok
but i am new too these cars
i am not looking for big performance gains , mostly want it for summer
& to be safe for daily driving this year
what would newer chips have to offer or should i spend money elsewhere

If you do upgrade get a Turbotweak. You wont be disappointed.

Chips have come a long way. They have allot of tune-ability now. User can tune stuff like fuel, timing, converter lock, lean cruise and boost to name a few.

The ultra chip is limited to the pre programed selections. Better than no selections but more fine tuning can be done with a more modern chip.
