Should a tranny cooler be ran by itself or in conjuction with stock cooler? And why, if it not to much typing. Thanks Jicaju

either combination will work well as long as the cooler or coolers is in good condition.it is easier to just install an auxillary cooler without the radiator but the radiator cooler is very efficient as well .only non lock super hi stall converters should use 2 imo

I've got a 10.5 street and strip 3400 stall lock-up and stage 1 tranny direct from CK performance. ;) So will the stock cooler be enough or would it be a good idea to stick a B&M supercooler on her? And if so tandem or by itself? Thanks Chris ( still looking for that orange gear on my govenor for my TTA) :D

I'm no tranny guy, but I can relate that I run a 9" n/l with an external cooler only and the tranny temp runs 160 to 185 depending on weather temp and how hard the car is run. So I think that the heavy external cooler keeps it cooler without the radiator trans cooler. A tranny temp gauge has been a good investment. I have a deep trans pan that I'm sure helps also.
