Cig/Clock fuse keeps blowing

Before I tear into this thing, has anyone had this problem? It doesen't pop immediatley, but after a couple of minutes it blows. I know it runs the courtesy lights, radio, pw antenna, trunk light and so on. Where should I begin?? Thanks!

try unpluging the cig lighter and see if the short goes away first(this is the most common prob i see).the console shifter lamp is on the illumination circit, not the battery circit.
