Anyone use circle track rims for track only tires/slick? I'm having a tough time finding a cheap set of aluminum rims with the right backspace. I have seen a few circle track "D"s for around $50 or so. Any problems with running them? Bassett makes some classified at DOT.

I use them. I ran into the same problem as you - trying to find cheap light weight wheels. The Circle Track wheels feel as light as aluminum and I got them for $70 for the pair.

I ran them on the street for over a year , they worked fine and that driving on LongIsland and NYCs Busted A$$ roads . They weighed 19lbs a piece . I had radials on them but ive seen guys running them w/ slicks at the track .

Did they work ok with the stock lugs? I know they use a 45' angle lugnut that's 1".

I was using the Metric open end nuts , i got them at pepboys . As far as i know they are the same on the facing in side as the stockers. The holes on the stock car rims are bigger but the nut fits in ,they were on my $100 regal for a while until i was driving and sliced the tire open on the Brooklyn Queens Expy and drove on the rim 50 mph, flat ( No the cops wern't chasing me ) . That bent the rima little . Those suckers are tough . They were bart rims . So i guess they did a year + on my Turbo car then a year + on my other . I never broke a stud and i did use them at the track but W/o slicks .
