Just had my tranny done by Mike at Trans Ware in Markham, Ontario - N of Toronto. Mike was excellent - dont hesitate to go to him.
Unfortunately he found that the insides had been worked on before and of course my worst fears realized. The governor, valve body and servo were swapped for regular ol 2004r junk. It was sans GN parts.
So after spending 2,000 + on CK rebuild kit, stall converter and shift kit I still had to shell out a bunch more for valve body and the like. In short - I got a 4,500 CDN tranny now all said and done.
My first impression was not as accurate as it could have been due to the poor roads (wet, sand, etc). I was wowed to say the least however. My car shifts like it should now and does so just like CK advertises on its site - barking shifts. I called Mike at Trans Ware after I got home (he asked me to) and I asked him if he did anything to my motor it worked so well !!!!
I am very impressed with all the parts and the new tranny that now makes my car more enjoyable for sure. I cant wait until spring to take it out to the track and see whats what timewise.
