Not really a fan of them on black cars, but looks good on the white.

How are you getting by with clear bulbs?

I better get back out there, John will have every one from Key West to Gainsville. I traded my spare set for a set of ambers off a low mile GN....

I'm curious though, did he say he was building them??

Yes,

I reread and found laws are different...
Here in FL they frown on clear turn marker bulbs.

That's strange since GM manufactures vehicles with both amber and white DRLs (daytime running lamps) and white cornering lamps are legal.

Thanks for the compliemnts!

I was curious about your comment regarding Florida law and found you're correct with respect to color of front lamps:

FL 316.224 Color of clearance lamps, identification lamps, side marker lamps, backup lamps, reflectors, and deceleration lights.--
(1) Front clearance lamps, identification lamps, and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the front or on the side near the front of a vehicle shall display or reflect an amber color.

I keep my vehicle equipment legal considering what I do for a living. But after further checking I'm not quite sure about Michigan law now. It seems contradictory, here are the relevant sections:

MI 257.689 Clearance and marker lamps and reflectors; color.
(a) Front clearance lamps and those marker lamps and reflectors mounted on the front or on the side near the front of a vehicle shall display or reflect an amber color.

MI 257.698 Side cowl or fender lamps;
(1) A motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than 2 side cowl or fender lamps which shall emit an amber or white light without glare.

I wonder if .698 authorizes what are called "cornering lamps" that illuminate only when the turn signal is activated that light the upcoming turn like my previous Turbo Buick had?:

I'm unsure, my take on it here in Florida is that any front lights that are activated with the turn signal should show amber.

At my age I don't get much attention from the law anyhow, but my son on the other hand may catch some crap. Once your pulled you better have a strong rap, or your comming away with a gift...

gotta love those clear lenes

i love the way my gn looks with the clear lenes

Yea, I hate to turn this into a "legal-eze" thread.

I think the clear lenses look fantastic. I'd prefer to use amber bulbs but you can see the yellow behind the clear lens during the day. I had my car out after dark for the 1st time tonight and even with clear bulbs they look like "dirty yellow".

I'm very picky on lighting color and wouldn't look twice at a "dirty yellow" parking or signal light to the front - and MI laws are very strict on lighting that cost 2 points + $110 fine for each violation.

i wanna post a pic

hey guys i wanna post a pic of my car but it will not let me
