I am in the process of painting my dads GNs trunk lid. I got to thinking about the badge on left side and what it would look like with a sticker under the clear. I have a Buick motorsports from kirbans that I was thinking about using. Anybody ever done this? Is it stupid or cheesy? Just an idea that I had. What do y'all think?

It would peel off but u can get some adhesion promoter and spay first and clear over to help stick .if it ever starts to peel of u can cut around the sticker a peel the clear off without hurting the paint.

Yes, I did it before. Like tbone87 said use Bulldog adhesion promoter. When apply the decal lightly sand it with 1500 or 2000 dry or grey scotch brite pad then wipe down with wax and grease remover and then apply the bulldog.

I used custom decals on all my badges on my repaint last year. I scuffed them up lightly with grey scotch brite wiped them off then put 3 coats of clear on. they are holding up good but i dont drive car much. I gave my badge to a printing shop which she still has them on file if your interested. I also have an extra one. She created the badge from the internet. They turned out pretty darn close to the original badges. I just changed the hood badge to a more modern font( called yesterday's meal) and had them printed in silver as she didnt have a chrome ink.
