Okay guys I have been trying to pinpoint why code 44 has been coming up on occasion when hot at idle. I have swapped to a known good ecm to no avail. Since finding out that my original computer was indeed okay I still see 44 come up on occasion, Now last night out for a drive with the woman code 13 came up, ecm not reading O2, Guys what do I start to look at here. I have gone through 4 O2's already this year, is there something I might be missing??? Thanks for your help, Mike

What kind of fuel are you running?
Are you adding anthing to the fuel?
.Look for poor connections or damaged harness.
Look at your fuel pressure System will run lean if pressure too low.
Is it possible you've got water in your fuel tank?
Is your sensor pigtail touching the exhaust manifold
How is your MAF?

Hope that helps.

At one time I got 3 bad O2s in a row.

Have you done any engine work about the time the problem started?. Silicone will kill O2s. Just even using aerosol silicone for treating weatherstriping can kill one from the residual fumes in the air.

Code 13 means the O2 is not responding. Not ecm, not reading O2. You can have a min O2 output, and get a code 13.

lbarrydds, thanks for the reply. I will go check for poor connections, but I am not adding anything to Chevron 94oct, I am sure there is no water in the fuel. I dont know how it would get there in the first place? I have played with fuel pressure and still get code 44 lean o2. Mass air is due to arrive in Tuesday, that could be a culprit. It is the first time however seeing code 13 Any other ideas to check?? Thanks again in advance, Mike

Bruce, I did use sylicone while re-installing Intake manifold last winter, Permatex blue O2 safe. Other than that it was all I did other than replace my turbo. I have had code 44 on and off for the last year and am still trying to figure out WTF is going wrong. I do have a small crack again on the ds header, even when I welded er up 2 months ago, code 44 still came up even after clearing the ecm. Could it be in the chip?? I had it hooked up to a scantool and it was not reading the o2's so we swapped computers {thanks Jim} and problem persisted. Thats where I am at..Completly dumbfounded. I will try another new Delco O2 and see what comes up. Thanks Mike
