Alright here is the story. I had my trans rebuilt last week. My 9/11 converter was not locking up and I was getting a code 31. I checked and replaced the fuse which was blown. The car now drives like the governor spring is gone. It pulls like a mother under full gas. But under normal driving conditions it will not shift until I get to a certain RPM and if it falls below it downshifts. Can a converter be bad and stay locked at all times? Or do I have an electrical problem. I replaced the chip as well with no change. What would cause the fuse to blow as well? The only way this car is drivable is to remove the fuse so the converter doesn’t lock up.
