Hello all.I am new to the 3.8 turbo.I have been battling a miss in my car since I got it.The car shows a code 42 and I followed the directions on how to fix it with no success.I swapped the these parts to fix the problem ,340 fuel pump, ecm, cam sensor, plug wires, ign module, coil.I mods I know it has is a t60 turbo?? and the injectors are 60 pound i think and a front mount intercooler.I can drive the car easily and it runs good and when I tear into it it stumbles and misses. Thanks in advance....

Check grounds, on my car the coil pack wasnt tightened down tight causing it to lose ground, under boost. popped and sputtered like mad.

Read here, too: Malfunction Codes Reference

What chip do you have? Maybe just need to pull/reseat the chip and/or calpack? Perhaps scan tool connector on the ecm pushed on too far? You DO have a scan tool? Check ALL the grounds again... Check/wiggle connections to the ign. module. Where did you get the new CP/Ign. Module? Did you use your old calpack in the 'new' ecm? If you have a scan tool, how do the numbers look just easin' around?

New guy in Gadsden? I live in Guntersville.... there's quite a few guys around here in N. Alabama. We'll fig'r it out....

I had this last summer. A shop had installed a gauge through the hole where the ECM harness comes into the car. They nicked a wire to the ECM on the sharp edge of the hole and it ran in "limp home mode". Found the section of wire and replaced and all is well.

Thanks
