I have been reading up on updating to the 86-87 coil pack and ignation module. On this site: http://forum.casperselectronics.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103
I it states "You MUST remove the pink 'resistance wire' that's part of the 84-85 engine harness, and replace it with a solid 16 gage copper wire." Can somebody please tell me where this wire is? Do I have to run trace the whole wire and replace the whole thing? I purchased the plug and play adapter from Caspers, won't this compensate so I won't have to do this additional step?
All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Happy New Year all

Four times!?! Did the last attempt work? I was dreading my attempt at the conversion all along, that is why I got the "plug and play" adapter instead of doing all of the splicing.
I started the car for the first time in 8 months this evening without getting an answer to my post. Everything seemed to work fine without to much going wrong. I still have the hesitation when I first hit the gas though. I am starting to think that it is the fuel pump. Next up, ECM conversion.

Ok. Still looking for this wire by the module.
Any pics?

The wire is there, close to the fire wall. Leaving it alone fed 11.? volts to the module. They say the mod needs 12 volts plus to work correctly. I did a post on here and will find it for you, but all i did was hot wire from the battery to the mod conn using a fuse and a relay and triggered the relay by the pink wire i removed from the mod conn that is the resistant wire. I will be back.
