Does anyone have any information on the high output coil pack Highway stars sells? How does it compare to a stock Delco pack? Are you changing the spark plugs gaps with it? Need a new coil pack and I am sure it is a good parts which works very well but I would like to keep using the delco parts unless this high output pack will have a performance gain.

Pretty sure its the GM methanol/alcohol pack which I think is the same as the Accel Magnavox style supercoil

So, this is a factory GM part? Is there a part number? What cars have it?

Sorry, my info has blended together over the years. These are two separate systems.

The Accel Magnavox-style p/n 140016 is a type-I aftermarket coil:

GM MAGNOVOX DIS SUPERCOIL-BUICK V6 - ACCEL Coils & Accessories - ACCEL

The methanol coil is from the 92-93 M85 (85% methanol) powered Chevy Lumina, and is type-II (delco style):

GM 1106008
Delco D546
Standard Motor DR47
Airtex/Wells 5C1077
Duralast C1316
KEM Parts 343Q
Original Engine Management 50047
Borg BWD E219
Master Pro 2-50047
NAPA Echlin IC406

I use the TypeII setup off a 88 Regal. The typeII has individual coils instead of a pak & aftermarket has hotter coils. I still use the original GM coils with no issues.
