Thanks for all of the info. It looks like Grundy works best for me. Has anyone ever filed a clim with them ? How was the problem resolved ? Thanks

Claim:

When my 70 GTO had HAGS insurance.
I backed up out of my summer home garage & caught the front fender. OUCH!
I was a raving LUNATIC when it happened.

any work under $3k they asked for estimate to faxed to them.
will cut you a check. & wanted before & after photos

any work over 3k would require an appraiser to check it out.

Not sure about Grundy but I bet it would be the same.

Good luck.

absolutly true. This is why classic insurance is NOT for everybody. If it were , everyone would have it on every car.

And if by chance your classic got nabbed at the mall... that IS grounds for them to deny your claim.

It has happened before it will happen again, Im not making this up...

Collector's insurance

I have a brochure here for www.AmericanCollectorsIns.com

They will do "Agreed" value. Car must be 15 years old, garage kept, you must have ten years driving experience and another primary vehicle, car must be driven for "pleasure" only. Other requirements too.

Grundy and most other collector car insurors will not cover you if you're parked at the mall, or if you use the vehicle for anything they don't think was 'on the way to or from a parade or club function'.
