If I was using a .060 cometic gasket at 28-30# boost and a compression of 9.2-1 with my combo below would the extra thickness have any less strength than a thinner .040 gasket? Any documented problems or expierences with this scenario? This is assuming a good tune with no knock.

Judging by "Cometic" search results... the biggest problem with Cometics is keeping water in the motor.

If you managed to seal yours, you are already ahead of the game. :D

You should be able to seal 30-32psi with a .040. I plan on running 30psi on mine with 9.3:1 compression.
