Cometic head gasket question

Hi there i whant to know if you can re use a cometic head gasket somebody told me this but i was very unsure of what he said??

I've reused them with success. I remove the single rivet on one side, splay the gasket open, clean the hell out of it, then copper coat all the layers until my arm is bronze to my elbow.

Head gaskets are not meant to be reused. Some people do but you are taking a risk by doing so.
I'd just order up a new set and have piece of mind.
