Or the Kid Swinging Dad's Heavy Keychain...
I just stay around it as much as I can. At my first show with my newly-purchased '87 T, a small girl was walking around with her family not far behind swinging daddy's heavy keychain full of keys around her index finger!
When she came within swinging distance of mine, I stepped out and said very pleasantly "Sweetheart, please be careful with those keys..." and all was fine. Her dad realized my concern (you could see the light bulb turn on over his head).
Surprisingly, turns out her dad was a participant and had a very exquisitely painted Camaro there, but yet didn't put 2 and 2 together until I said something.
I guess as long as you're civil, it's okay. But there is no reason people should not know they shouldn't touch and be careful around the cars. Much more than "just fingerprints" can result-- dings, dents, and scratches don't "wipe off."
As far as parking, my wife and I are so conditioned now that we always park in remote end spaces, even when we have a rental car! Old habits die hard, I suppose...

The only time I get nervous is when you have some d!ck with the 6 foot wallet chain walking around your car. I'm just waiting to hear the "clank" of it hitting my car so I can hang him with his stupid ass chain. Otherwise, if I go to a car show (I rarely enter my car anymore) I expect fingerprints and a seat full of flyers when I get back to my car. Just like when I go to the track I expect a 3/4" layer of dust and rubber build up by the time I leave.
