I will be picking up my car from long island NY on friday night Jan 17th, and then turning around to head back to MI same night. I will be going through NJ and PA, and if someone is on the route, I would love to check out your rides on my way through. also, I won't be able to take my car tools on the plane with me to NY, so if anyone would want to help replace my speedo cable, I would really appreciate it keep in mind, it'll be LATE night friday, and EARLY morning Sat Just a thought...
p.s. with the speedo cable broken, I am petrified of driving not knowing how fast I am travelling! so if someone can let me borrow their Scanmaster that would help too!

I just bought the car and the current owner lives in Long Island, NY...therefore, I am flying into LaGuardia, NY and then driving back to MI after picking up the car. I already sent the replacement speedo cable to the guy holding the car for me, but he says it is too freaking cold to do it out in the garage right now, which I know it is!

to go to staten island, I think I would take the Belt PRWY across the Narrows and onto 278 to get to staten, no? would you be able to route me back to 80 from there? email me your addy and I will get directions, and if not too far out of the way (which it doesn't look like) we might hook up! Keep in mind though, I won't have the car in possession till about 1130pm friday night! and I was planning on hitting the road and driving back the same night... which would mean we do some night-time work on the car ...let me know if that works for you. thanx a lot!~

Aren't long trips fun? A friend and I drove form central Jersey out to Marion Ohio and back to pick up my car. I was in the same boat as you, When it started getting dark i realived that none of my dash lights worked. It was a LONG ride home. Good Luck with your new ride.

When I got my GN in maryland it had 4 flats, and we had to use a hand winch to get it on the trailer. I also barely made it to u-haul they were almost done pulling the trucks back in I think mine was the last one - I got lucky !! I just wish I could find the pictures of the car when it was in maryland I cant find them they vanished someplace
