I tried out the 108 + chip Sunday with limited success. I turned on the
boost assist. and the car was a dog out of the hole. I had better success
with it turned off.

I'm not blaming the chip. I must be doing something wrong. The car
takes off about 20' out and you can hear (and feel) the tires breaking
loose. then it pulls all the way to the end of the 1/4 mile. (107.77 MPH
was the best of the day) , but my best ET was only a 12.97 @ 22 # of boost ,running C16. Best 60 was a 1.8XX. Where with Jay's VT chip I once had a 1.77 60' , but the MPH if about the same for both chip's 107 to 108 , so the engine is making the same power.

What is the best way to stage using launch assist ? Should I just nail the
gas to the floor ? . I'm looking for suggestions. I need it to pickup in
that first 20 or so feet.

I also noticed the "below 10# fuel spool up" I did not adjust that. that
was left alone (default setting) . Should I lean that ?


On the plus side with the 93 chip and lean cruise I'm getting in the mid
twenties gas mileage wise.

I'm just looking for advise.

The car has a Stock D5 converter and a TE44 turbo 2.5" downpipe,gutted cat , 3" single shot exhaust , ported heads , 206 cam , cold air intake, No
exhaust leaks.



Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
 
Something ain't right.

A heads and cam. car should be low 12's high 11's at that boost.

25psi. with stock heads and cam.s is low 12's for sure on a properly running car.

1.8 60ft. isn't totally bad especially if it was LVD. :p

I would think you should be at around 114 mph with heads and cam. at 22psi?

You have direct scan? Turbolink?

I don't use launch assist on my Extreme chip so I can't help you there.

I would be reading the plugs to check for lean or rich conditions.

I quess I should stop complaining and just get the higher stall converter.

The best 60' with Jay’s chip was a 1.77, but I had about 5 seconds to let it spool up.

O2 read a 783 on recall with no knock. I do have an EGT, but I never looked at it during the run, DOH!
 
You would be surprise on the spool up difference changing the default setting for low fuel spool up gear and WOT spool up gear. I usually lean mine out about 4% for each setting.

The C16 if I'm not mistaken requires more timing and maybe more boost to see maximum results, but maybe someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, I tried leaning it out 2%, what a difference. 1.76 60’, 12.25 ET.
