I am rebuilding my engine and when I took the cam out one of the lobes is alot shorter than the rest. I have a TE44 turbo w/63ar housing, 3"thdp, blue tops combination, and was wondering if a comp cam 206/206 would be correct for my setup. I called comp cam and they want to sell me a 212/212. It is a weekned driver and I live in N.J. so I have to deal with emission testing. Iwas happy with stock but was wondering if something larger will help wake it up??

Thanks,
Glenn

Hello, good to have you aboard.
I really like my Comp 206-206. It's very driveable, idles well and seems to fit my combination well. I know a lot of folks here make more power than my car and are also happy with their 206-206. I'm not sure how much a 212-212 would effect driveability, but it would probably give you a little more pull in the higher rev range (mine tends to fall off rather early).
With the mods you have I think either will work well. Good luck!

When my car runs, it runs great with a Comp 206/206, TE44 and blue tops. Idles like stock, valve train is quiet with the Comp lifters and good power.

ANYONE IN CALIFORNIA USING THIS CAM?
WILL THE COPM CAM 206/206 PASS EMISSIONS IN CALIFORNIA?

HOW ABOUT THE KENNY BELL CAM?
THEY CLAIM TO PASS AND ITS ABOUT 20HP OVER STOCK.

I went to comp cam online catalog and found the 206/206 part #69-234-4. The description for this cam is " good power for light towing or use with high axle ratio. smooth idle. Is this the right one?? The 2122/212 part # 69-248-4 description " Good replacement for turbo charged Grand National???

The part# on the flat tappet 206/206 is #69-000-5
Most of the TR vendors sell it now. There are supposedly three versions of this cam out there. The different versions have to do with the lift, or so I've been told. The lift is .447 intake & .447 exhaust, on the cams that Dave Weber, the GSCA & Ron's Custom Auto sells. Cotton's version should be the same.
