Had to put a new Hard drive in my laptop. Now how do I get a full screen?? My screen is only half of what it should be. I can't figure it out:confused: It's windows XP Home.
Thanks

Your video drivers arent installed. Or check out the settings. when your mouse is on the desktop right click and go to properties then the settings tab. check your resolution.

Driver

I have good luck going to windows update and installing the latest drivers along with the security patches you need anyways:)

It is most likely your screen resolution. Thier should be no reason to have to re-install drivers, considering the drivers are on the windows cd. And on a laptop your usually going to keep the same video drivers anyway. Go to the start menu and click the control panal, then click display from the menu. This will bring up a new window, from here choose the settings tab. Then set the resolution to what suits you. If this does not work its a hardward confliction most likely. Just let me know if this does not work and i will look further into it.

SETURBO, That does not work. A guy at work said I need to use the system recovery cds. I used the Operating System CD. He said I don't have the drivers set up since I used the OS cd. Wish I new more about these stupid things....

You can get the drivers very easily. Fo to the manufactures website and download the drivers. I still think its a hardware confliction. Just keep me informed and ill try to help you/.
