I friend brought me her laptop today to try and fix. Her version of Windows XP Home crashed and she tried to reinstall using the recovery CD's provided with her HP laptop. It didn't work and she tried it twice.

I tried it again with no luck. I tried my XP Pro CD and that didn't work either. There were a bunch of files that said they could not be copied and now when you start it up it says "NTLDR Could not be found" Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to restart"

Basically my question is WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Thanks for anything

believe it or not i had problems with my laptop, i could'nt even get on line, i went to my sisters house and let AOL fix my computer and man... it works fine know:) i would try to find someone who has aol and give it a shot

ntlr is part of a norton antivirus software, reload it and you will be fine, unless a virus got in and changed the file there is nothing u can do, try to load on safe mode and remove norton AV and reload it again,
