Console removal

Where are the screws that are holding the console to the floor, i have some line lock wiring that i need to redo and I can only see two screws that are in the centerconsole compartment... just need to know how to pull the thing out and the haynse manuals/chiltons arnet very informative, at least mine arnet

There are four screws.

Two are in the center console glove box near the rear.

The second set is on either side of the shift lever when it is in park and under the console cover.

Remove the console cover by removeing the ash tray and then the two screws that where under the front of the ash tray.

Also don't forget to remove the little clip on the right side of the shift handle in order to remove the handle.

There is a wire for tihe light that indicates which gear the car is using, so pull the console up and back slowly.

Should take about 5 or so minutes after the first time.
