I'm in the process of an 84-5 to 86-7 conversion and mentioned the idea of running the oil drain to the oil pan to the local engine builder and he suggested against it saying " it would work, but the heat exchanged from the turbo to the rubber inside the steel braided hose would cause cracking and leak oil after a short time". He also questioned how to run the hose around the pully assembly and such. Is their a hose that is more resistant to heat than others for this application? How have some of you successfully ran your oil drains to the oil pan? Where did you locate the drain to on the oil pan(i.e. inches from center and top of pan)? How long of hose did you use? Any problems you faced during or after the relocation? Any specifics would be much appreciated...maybe even pix  Thank you for any help!
