First, do a search, this question has been asked hundreds of times. (I was one of them)

Second, you have three major options. The turbomotion kit. around 1300 with a new intake

the powerstroke IC around 500 with no intake alot of cutting and working yourself

spearco IC. just and intercooler kit, no intake, i dont know the costs

intercooling

I think the first question you should be asking yourself is how much am I looking at spending? The turbomotion intercooler kit is probably the best way to go, as it gives you better performance & driveability with the throttlebody moved onto the intake. You will also need to convert to an electric cooling fan. Also recommended you upgrade to an 86/7 style ecm/maf, and you will need to install a MAT sensor. This kit allows you to run basically any turbo as well. The intake and intercooler that comes with this kit outflows the 86/7 setup as well. Spearco makes a good kit as well, but does not include an intake. One of the biggest problems with the 84/5 cars is the way the intake was designed. More intake flow means more power for us. So it really depends on how much you have to spend, and ho fast you want to go :p

With a good stall convertor, better injectors, bigger turbo, biger dp, exhaust, and some tuning you can easily get into high 12's with this kit! Hope this helps.:D
