Finally getting ready to install the trans/converter to the engine for the last time and the converter bolt pattern is smaller than the hole pattern in my flexplate. Is the Buick bolt pattern smaller than the Chevy small block one, or do I need a special flex plate with a smaller pattern.
Also, when the converter is fully back I have a 5mm gap to the flex plate. I want to be sure this isn't too much for the pump drive tangs to engage adequately, as it is more than I had expected. I have a .090 motor plate, but also have a .090 spacer behind the flex plate.
It's a CK 24RCSS3 10.5" converter. I've got a call in to Chris, but thought I'd see if anyone on the forum knew also.
I took the week off to get the motor/trans assembled and installed, so would like to limit my delay as much as I can, so I'm kind of in a hurry to see what I'm going to need to change.
Thanks - Greg
