I feel that at this point I still need a LU converter...I don't plan on taking the car much past this point as of now...but I know it's addictive.

With the 44 I have now, what would you guys suggest for a converter? I've noticed the multi-disc converters need changes made internally in the tranny from some posts about pumps...is that correct? Do I need to stick with a single disc?

Get a single disc if you do not plan to lock it at full throttle.

Honestly i would go with a single disk other than Vigilante most of them are supposed to be able to handle WOT lockup(pro-torque 10.5, 9/11, pats converters),. 3000-3200 would be a nice stall speed for the 44 but give you room to grow when later on down the road you decide you want something bigger. Thats just my opinon, good luck.

You can get them at PTS, CK performance, dynotech, (century sells a few as well, some made at a local place in Houston but they seem to hold up well). Some of the non tranny vendors also carry a few of thse as well as the vigilante multidisk.
