converter engagement into transmition?

Having problem getting converter to engage all the way into transmition. Is there a secret to this. I can get it to start by turning it clockwise but can't get it to go into the notched area for some reason :confused:

Just wondering if I'm going about it wrong..

went right on for me... make sure you're holding it up taking enough weight off of the splines so they dont bind..
 
try spinning it a bit faster by hand while keeping inward pressure on it.
 
also remember that when fully seated the mounting pads sould be at least 1.00" below the mounting flange of the bellhousing.
