I ran my GT6131e with a restalled stock 2700 converter. Worked great on the street, but at the track if I was the last to stage, and left on the 3rd yellow I would have about 8# of boost built by that short time...made for very inconsistant launches.
Then I got a PTS 9x11 3k stall and now it will launch under the same conditions at around 12-13# fairly consistantly.
a 3200 would be perfect I'd think for a mostly drag car...but all converter are not created equal, a 3k stall in one brand may feel like a 2400 stall in another. The 3k PTS feels great on the street....the 3k Mike Kurtz converter on my TA was a pig on the street and took every bit of 3k rpms to get the car rolling.
