Converter Question

I have an '87 Monte SS w/355 sbc with an Comp XE268 cam 200r4 . Anyway the trans is all stock. Is there a differance in the TC's of SS's and TR's. if so would my car benefit from the Turbo Convertor. What other mods are recommended?

Pretty much the same converter.
Mods :
Pan and sump
Cool it
shift kit it
and make sure pressure reg system is working well.
Servo would help you too.
