i am trying to completely understand torque converters and transmissions. its going to take some time :) .

i am trying to decide on a converter for my car.
car has a precision TE44 w/.63 hot side. duttweiler neck. razors alky, 60lb injectors, turbotweak chip, hotwired340 and other little things. the car will be running on BFG drag radials when at the track. the car is driven daily and will be raced at least every other weekend.

is a 3000 stall a nice choice for me? im not sure about going bigger since the car is driven everyday.

i am looking at a PTS billet 9x11 converter $799.00 and pats 1003 XHD 10” 2004R W/Anti-balloon Plates $495.00.

guide me to which choice i should make. i know this topic has come up but it has never gotten a solid answer. one converter is almost twice as much as the other but both parties have customers with years of punishment on each converter.
opinions and experiences from board memebers of either converter would be appreciated.
THANKS

Since your going to be racing a lot. I would go with the billet 9/11 3200-3400 and be done with the whole converter thing. Sell your turbo and take the money from that with another hundred or so and upgrade to a bigger turbo(you have the injectors, alky and EM chip).....Your gonna want to go faster and faster.

FYI
First time out in my new combo netted me 1.61-1.62 spinning out of the hole on a street night. All off the foot brake!;)
