Guys, I have a question about the convertor in my GN. I have identified it as a stock D5. Thats not the issue here. The last owner said he had the trans out and "gone through". What exactly that means, I dont know. I just had the valve body fixed because the little cylinder was stuck, not allowing a downshift into first. Car started off in second gear...
It does have a hardened drum support and a Gil Young shift kit (I think thats the one). All the BRF parts are correct and present in the trans.
Anyway, I recently had a best 60' at the track of a 1.585 on a 28" M/T ET Drag. Is there anyway I couldve acheived this on a stock stall D5? Im thinking maybe mine is restalled, but cant tell for sure. I havent put my AutoMeter 3780 tach in yet.
Any help appreciated, and opinions welcome. Planning on going to a 60 series turbo (TE-61, maybe TE-62) in the future.
