Something has begun slipping in my driveline. I'd swear it feels like it's slipping in the rear end but I don't think my symptoms can be the posi.

Something started slipping at WOT in 1st gear. Now it slips at part throttle in all gears and the car hardly moves when going up an incline from a stop. I have to let it roll and feather the pedal to get the car moving. once it's moving slippage can't be felt. When I break torque the car, it doesn't feel like it's loading up.

There is no noise coming from the rear end. the posi and clutches are original. i have Moser axles but the posi has never been touched. If the posi was shot could that cause the car to slip going straight with no noise when I turn?

The convertor is a Precision lock up single disk. Fluid is full and clean. Any ideas? I really appreciate any helpful thoughts on what it could be. Thanks, Paul

It was the 1st gear clutch band in the trans. The part was faulty and repaired at N/C by Jimmy who built my trans.

This was a few years ago now but my trans guy said something like the rivets on the first gear clutch band were not brazed properly and that's why they failed. Whatever it was, he replaced it at N/C. Paul
