I have a coolant leak and have been told that my 84 T-Type is leaking around the timing chain cover. Any suggestions as to the problem and what the fix will involve?

Thanks.

I have also been told that it could be leaking around the thermostat housing and running down around the timing chain cover. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Some of the bolts go into a water jacket, check to see if you aren't getting any leakage around the bolts.

Look up under the "nose" of the water pump. There's a small hole about .125 in diameter. It's a weep hole that'll leak coolant if the internal seal in the water pump gives out. You can only see it from under the car, and it can be tough to get your eye on, especially on a stock Intercooler 86-87 car.
