What is the id of the original hard lines for the tranny cooler? If there is a restriction in the lines, could that cause pressure build-up and leaks by the dipstick tube, pan gasket, etc?

TIA,

ID would be about 1/4".

Don't know the answer to your other question.

1/4", that is what I thought. Since the car is a hybrid, I am not using the hard lines but it is 1/4". I have a baffling leak in the area of the pass- front corner of the tranny. It only leaks at WOT and difficult to tell exactly where the leak is coming from. It all started when I replaced the front pump and inserted quick-disconnects in the tranny lines. Before I pull the tranny again, I was wondering if the quick-disconnects were causing a restriction, could this cause pressure build-up in the pan forcing fluid pass the gasket or dipstick tube grommet? This is the 2nd pan and 4th attempt at gaskets to seal the pan and the grommet is new.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can get a gauge in there it should be under 50psi. I believe.

That would be without disturbing the flow. Some sort of T fitting.

What is the diameter of the quick disconnect lines at the thinnest points? Do they look restrictive or are you thinking defective?

We have had some problems at work with the guts rusting on a few but they run water through them for a chiller system.
