He explained he started attending therapy sessions a week after the incident, but stopped two months later when the city said the provider was out-of-network.

It is pretty disgusting. Either he's not mentally capable of being a police officer or he's just another pos who wants to mooch off society either way I wouldn't want to rely on him having my back. I can understand being upset about the site of that poor woman and yeah, I could see that "haunting" someone. As far as stress or nightmares about having to shoot the chimp that tore that woman apart, bull$hit. All the other responders had to see the same scene as this guy but, at least he got to do what I'm sure all of them wanted to do and that is shoot the f'n animal. Unloading 2 clips into that chimp would have been the best form of therapy and closure possible, under those circumstances.

What was done to that woman should be traumatic for anyone. This cop wants to collect under the same type of disability officers can claim after they are involved in a shooting involving a human being. He shot a chimp.

So seeing someones brains blown out isn't worse? It's part of your job! Stamford P.D. gets payed VERY well to do theirs and get a 50% pension with their (3) highest years which at 20 years will equate to likely $70-80k at retirement.

Over 40 officers (NOT supervisors) last year made over $140k in Stamford. Yes, that's One Hundred and Forty Thousand!!! Many made much more. Throw me $140k and I'll fight the dam chimp myself.

He shot a dam Money for christs sake. If a dog ripped someones face off and you had to shoot it you would not be entitled to workers comp benifits. This is no different. It was an animal with Lyme disease that lost its mind and had to be shot. Period! Seeing a citizen victimized does not entitle you to chit!

It's just a scam to collect more money from the tax payer while your making MORE money then 99% of the other PD's are making in the state.

Again, he's looken for $$$$$$$$$$$ from workers comp. NOT counseling for PTSD. He want's a workers comp rating so he can collect.

The woman who got her faced ripped off ain't getten a workers comp rating. Neither are the medics or any other other police officers or animal control officers who were also on scene.

Should they ALL get a workers comp rating? They were all working when it happened and ALL had to see the womans face.

You wouldn't have the balls to go for a ride along in Bridgeport. Who you kidden? This coming from a guy who drove by the ctown projects once when he was a kid and watches cops on TV from his sofa. That's brave.

Those that think Bridgeports ghettos are laughable should think again. They had a very very high murder rate at one time. It may no be as big of a problem currently as Newark, Detriot, Chi, or some of the SoCal cities but the chit holes of Bridgeport are as bad as any other part of the country. It would be nice to see some pics of the good old Poquonocks housing project.

not saying Connecticut doesn’t have its rough parts and Projects, I think it laughable because it not what you think when you think Connecticut, but just for sh!ts and grins, google Pico Rivera, CA. not bragging but with in a fifty yards of where I live just in the last 2 years there have been more shootings that I can count, last summer almost on a daily basis for about two months, they don’t even wake me up anymore, three murders two literally across the street on different days, neighbor got shot washing his car about 6 months ago when a guy waked up to him and shoot him point blank, and that’s just the stuff that happened while I was home and aware of, I’m sure there is some stuff I missed. Oh and btw this is not even the bad part of the city

Cops usually wont patrol around here without a chopper to look out for them or in a groups.

Again not bragging, sold my house just over two year ago to buy a business, and this was the only option. currently saving my pennies to buy an new home in a better area.

again, nothing against my Buick friends in Connecticut, but if you live where I live and here projects in Connecticut it sounds kinda laughable :wink:
