I know that the correct rear end additive is GM part number 1052358 but this is what the local GM dealer gave me.

Is this correct?

I use K&W Trans-X POSI-TRAC Limited slip gear oil additive. Says it's suitable for use in OEM limited slip differential applications GM # 1052358

It comes in a 7 oz tube. No. 402508

I buy it at Autozone. Never had a problem using it.

Thanks. I have that part number up.

My question is, is this ACDelco stuff they gave me compatible?

Is it in a little squeeze bottle? That was the GM stuff I used. Smells like fish.

LOL. Yeah a little squeeze bottle.

I'll go give it a sniff test and let you know.

Ok. It smells like oil and very little fishy.

Yes it is the right fish shit. At least that's what the Buick people tell me.

Evil--That is the correct part number and it replaces the small black bottle that had the part number you referenced. I just ordered some myself.

I have a G80 and did a drain not too long ago it was chattering and whining ... the gear oil that came out it smelled horrid.

I replaced it with 2 qts Valvoline high perf 80w90 and the additive pictured above the level was perfect and is silent on the road.
