I finally got around to the 200-4R today.

I checked servo/band clearance and had about .060, so I did not grind the pinn as I had planned.

I dropped the governor and put a slightly heavier small weight on it, since my WOT shifts were too late last time with the BQ VB.

I dropped the VB and plate, drilled the band release hole to .130" from .110". This took care of my 2-3 bind-up and I have a very clean firm 2-3 shift at all throttle positions.

I removed the shim from the TV plunger spring as I was having to take ALOT of TV out of it from the correct WOT adjustment method.
I also cut about 2 coils from the TV spring. This put it pretty close. I think I may go back and replace the spring with an uncut, or re-install the shim.

Watching the pressure rise on a guage from idle, just barely pushing the TV cable to increase TV I get only a very slight rise.
If I pull the cabel out 1-2 clicks tighter, I get a more pronounced pressure rise with bump on the cable.
So I probably went a hair too far with cutting the spring.

Shifts are now firm without any bind-up.

I didn't do any WOT upshifts yet but up to 3/4 throttle everything works good.

I do seem to have a sticky TV when it gets hot though, as it will downshift with almost zero throttle at cruise from 4-3 (at 70mph) and from 3-2 at lower speeds.

I'll try to warm it up and pull the TV cable a few times tomorrow.
Might have to disassemble the TV lineup and check it all out when I install a stock spring or shim.

Jake, I don't think it is that you corrected our shift kit, rather you have made alterations to it that may better deal with an existing problem you have within your transmission. The one key is you are still dealing with a problem in your TV set up.

Our shift kits assume as listed in the instructions, that you are starting with a stock V/B. We have installed and sold the same kit for 8 years and your's is the first that has had any issue with a 2-3 bind that wasn't due to a tight clutch pack. You have made alterations to help a hidden problem, but our first thought is you haven't found the root of the problem yet and may have other issues arise from the true problem.

Keep us informed. We are interested to find what you discover as the real issue here.

Thanks, Mark
