I bought a Cotton front mount for a really good price from a good guy on here. I just was wondering can I do a leak check with filling it with water.
Also how much typically does it cost to have them repaired if need be.

Thats why i am on here asking for technical assistance

One guy said to cap off one end and put soapy bubbles to check it, but thats why I am posting to get Ideas before I spend all this time putting it on and come to find out it leaks.

You can cut a bikes inner tube and place either end over the inlet and outlet (use some clamps), then use the tube's valve to pump in some air and check it in a bucket of water. Or check the pressure with a gauge and wait to see if it drops.

Jeff! How about a radiator shop? They usually have a large tank to submerse radiators & all the adapters & air pressure to leak test. If you don't have one close by .My radiator shop can check it for you probably at no charge.

Thanks LOU and Jeff

I will probably end up doing both. The intercooler needs to be combed as one of my buddies said it is called. The fins on some Of the IC are slightly pushed in. If that is what they are called. I know I had to get one eventually. but it was destined to get one sooner. Seeing as when I was in L.A. coming around a turn to get on another freeway, probably going a little too fast and out of nowhere a clear thing of liquid soap which I thought was foam just happend to get stuck under my IC. So now I got a really good deal on a Cottons front mount and may just want to spruce it up a bit.
