cowl induction

has anyone opened up the back of there factory cowl hood to let air in to cool their engines a lil more? Was just wondering if hotairs could benifit from it?

I was thinking of putting in the fender louvers to get rid of some of that hot air. I've looked at alot of after market cowl hoods and I just don't like the way they look on a GN. On some cars they look real nice but on a GN they don't look so good.

I've been thinking of that for quite awhile, but I'm afraid of the turbo melting the fiberglas hood.
