 Ok I got a set 50's sitting in the box and am running a Razor Alky kit can I use these with a CPTE66BB Turbo ??

Just checking if I should sell them or use them some say I will be cool other say I am going to need 60's

Thanks

I am using Siemens 57# with the same turbo and the Julio's dual nozzle setup. I have yet to try it at the track but will find out come early April. The deciding factor may be the heads and boost you are running. You will be okay with 50#s and stock heads but will be on the "edge" with a decent set of heads and 20+ boost.

Heads are stock but I do have 206/206 cam
Was planing to run 20-24lbs of boost.
What do you think??
Thanks

No problem with the meth especially on a stock headed engine. My friends car went 126+mph at 26psi with 50's and a dual nozzle meth set up while weighing 3700lbs.

it should be fine, i have 60's and champ irons and it screams with the 66bb.

I am almost out of injector with 50's, alky and a GT6152 turbo. One of the reason I didn't go to a bigger turbo was that I probably would have needed more injector. No doubt that turbo can go beyond those injectors if you ever push it, which I hope you will. :)

If your injectors are new send them back, if used sell them.

I see no need to run anything smaller than 60lbers on our cars, especially if you are a modder. They idle smooth and its plenty of injector to run mid 10's on.

How bad is gas milage with 60's anyone know??
My buddy has 83's and gets **** dosnt even like to drive his car any more :(
I like to drive mine when ever its nice and the roads are dry plus I am planing to drive it to Indy for the T6P event :D

Inj are from ebay no way to return but are brand new :D

I don't think you will have a problem at 25psi. boost with them.

I have stock heads and cam. and a 70 p-trim.

At 25psi. I'm at about 80% DC with 21* timing shifting at 5000/5100 rpms.

My injectors are 55 low Z's.

And I don't tune to replace 30% of my fuel with alky. either.

I would use direct scan for your final boost tuning so you can check your pulse width, however, with the large shurflo and alky. you should easily be able to tune it for 24 psi. with those 50's.

Mileage with 60's should not suffer if the tune is right. That is as long as you keep your foot out of it. I have 65's and the last trip to Bowling Green, KY. I got 28mpg. The city mpg is not as nice since I like to make sure there is never any carbon build up in the motor. ( WOT blasts) :)

Like that no carbon build up lol
I have the 50's I think I am going to use them, plus there flow matched so all should be good I hope :D

60's with a turbo tweek chip has been the best smoothest running combo i have ever used. i've had 50's 72's 36's 42.5's and still like the 60's best.

Its all in the TT Chip ;)
Eric dose a great job! I have one in my car now and it runs awsome!
Still up in the air as I am finding some good deals on other turbos now lol.
I may sell the 50's unsure right now
Thanks for all the info guys!

I think the 50's are min or not reccomended for the 66. If you do run the 50's you won't be able to run high boost.

Is the chip for the 50's burned to run the 66?

You will probaly max out those injectors (close to 100% duty cycle). Would be safe to just sell it and go with the 60lbs injectors.

He wont be at 100% with the methanol. Should be able to get 124-126mph out of it before he needs more injector with the meth.

Ok I like the cpt66 but am looking at other options now.
I have a te44 now and I want to get into the 10's this year so what turbo would you guy recomend I am seeing a ton of turbos for sale on here and I am thinking of going used to save the cash and buy the new Maf Pro system with wideband o2 set up. (750$ there)
I have also found out my Stall is not what they told me (Was told 3200-3400) and the most I have seen is 3100 :(
So looks like I will need to stick to something smaller??
I dont want to take this converter back out (took a week to get the new trans in lol) Plus the wiating thing track opens in a week :(
Would a 60 or a something be better choice??
HELP!! I am getting confued again lol

Above it looked like you said the heads were stock, but you have a 206 cam ? If so, you will need more turbo than a 60 to runs 10's. The 66BB will be a good fit, but I am not sure just how well it will drive with the stock heads.

Port the heads and you can get away with a smaller turbo to get the job done and have alot of fun on the street.

Well as far as we know the heads are stock someone did some work to this motor before I got the car it dose have a 206/206 cam and the intake looks to be stock other then the 63mm tb and RJC p-plate.

the car went 119 mph 11.79 with the set up I have now using the te44 and alky with 24lbs of boost.

I am looking at a te65 that a guy on the board is selling he said it will work with a 3000-3200 stall so I am hoppin he is right. I am going to pick up the 60lb inj and go with the Maf Pro so spool up should improve from what everyone is saying losing the maf helps spool up a ton. And of course still run the alky :D

Anyone have any thoughts on this set up??
