cracked dash cover over speakers

I have a new top dash plate to replace mine that is cracked and broken over both tweeters.

When I took it off it seemed that the concert sound tweeters from hell stick up too high and that is why the plate warped and cracked.

Can they easily be replaced with something that sits lower and won't push up against the dash plate?

All of the speakers are stock and I am not looking to build a killer system, just replace the dash plate and have it sit flush and not be stressed.

What are some good replacements for those honking tweeters that will sit flush or lower?

Yeah mine is cracked too but my factory speakers seemed to clear the top dash plate just fine. I think it's a combination of sunlight and temperature extremes that does it.

But I replaced my factory ones with Blaupunkts, $29.99. Also, get bass blockers for them. They sound great. HTH.
