What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a 3.40(buick motorsports)steel crank in a stage 1 motor?

Disadvantages are few, maybe the cost.
Advantages are in the stregth and that alone is worth the extra cost .

just wondering on the stroke with that crank vs the other larger stroke cranks out there.

Shorter stroke advantage?Maybe rev quicker.Disadvantage to a larger stroke crank,would be less cubes.Jim

Advantage : if you've got a nice steel crank, use it, maybe less bearing wear with 3.400 vs. the others.
