Slice some strips of cardboard from a permatex package and slide one between the sensor and the ring on each side. You looking to center the sensor on the ring.
 
The gap is .025 on either side, rotate the engine and check it at each of the three crank triggers on the dampner to determine if they are straight. They are easy to bend ( trigger wheel) and it can take out the sensor in short time if it makes contact.

Exactly, check all three! Also, make sure to use the correct slot! Dont know why they have 2 slots??
 
Put it in the groove farthest away from the plug in connector.

thanks for the info ill see if i can get it set. Just ready to hear it run been out of the car for 2 months getting every thing done and back together hope to have it back in this weekend!!
