Cranks Sensor...which groove??

Should I use the groove closest to the electrical connection...ie the one farthest from the crank nose...or the other groove??

Please be descriptive...I've searched the archive and found conflicting info.

Farthest from the connector. I think the tip of the crank sensor touches the crank in the other groove.
