Crankshaft lines

Hey I took my crank to the machine shop and they said that the only way to remove the lines not really grooves out of my crank is to grid it does the crank have to be smooth ? I would rather see what others that know more can tell me before I grid it most the reading are still close to stock look at my other post with the reading thanks George

Not going to gain you much.. Leave the casting lines alone IMO.. I assume you are talking about a stock crank..? HTH
