Crankshaft Positioning Sensor Install Tips?

I need a new Crankshaft Positioning Sensor for my 85--no spark or injector pulse. I pulled one from a parts car. Is there a trick to installing it, or is it straightforward?

Rotate the engine by hand while you are under there and make sure the spacing of the reluctor ring is even for a full rotation.

Disconnect the battery then follow above instructions you should be fine

I cut up & used an old credit card, Worked great! I updated to the new crank sensor though.
